Japanese is spoken by approximately 128 million people, primarily in Japan where it is considered the official language. Very much like Basque, the origins of the language are unknown and the language is therefor classified as an isolated language. Japanese consists of three different writing languages, katakana, hiragana and kanji. The English language has imported a number of words from Japanese, for example Sudoku, Sushi and Tsunami.
