Translation Catalan
Catalan does, just like Spanish and French belong to the Latin language family. Catalan is primarily spoken in Catalunia in Spain where Barcelona is the main city. Apart from in Catalunia, Catalan is considered an official language in Valencia, Andorra an the Baleares. In total there are approximately 7.5 million people with Catalan as their first language in Spain and France.
